Hello

I just got an akasa fan controller
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/akasa-ak-fc-07bk-fc-525-...

And i plugged it in exacly how you should and when i change the knobs the fans dont turn on

so i tested the pins using a multi-meter and the power into the fan controller works (hence the screen lights up), 12v and 5v showed up on pins

so i tested the fan connectors and the 5v worked but the 12v had no power, with the knobs at full

Am i doing something wrong or is the product faulty?

do you have 5 volt or 12 volt fans. it sounds like it only designed for 12 volt fans as it says 0-12volt fan output. if you had 5 volt fans pluged into it with the switches all the way up it could have burned up the fans. just wondering did you try the fans without the controller to see if they work(plug them into motherboard or power supply directly?

sounds like you narrowed it down to the fan controller then. I don't have one so I don't know if its even possible to hook one up wrong(I would figure it would be kinda full proof) or not but at least you know its the fan controller somehow or another
