Hello,

I am building my computer. Can you tell me if all the following parts will work together:

-MSI H61M-P31/W8 LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
-CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
-ASUS GeForce® GTX 650 Ti Boost DirectCU II dual-fan performance graphics
-Kingston Technology HyperX Blu 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM
KHX1333C9D3B1/4G
-Rosewill FBM-01 Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case
- processor intel i5
-western digital 750 MB

I tried to put the MSI cd to install my drivers but it is not working.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Nstyle

Windows 98!! I hope that was a joke.

But your driver disk will only work from inside the Windows environment. After assembling the PC, the next step should be to slip the Win7 DVD in the optical drive and boot up to the installation pgm. It will walk you through the installation. Once Windows is installed and you are at the final desktop, then install the drivers.

After trying the Windows 7 DVD ( it's new) and realise that it was not working i had to make sure it wasn't the DVD fault. So the only option to proove it , was to use my old DVD 98.

i will have to re check all connections.

When i put the DVD in, it's spin but nothing showed up on my sreen. I am staying with a blank sceen( that i tested and it is working).

thank,

I am not even able to see the BIOS ( it would be to easy). I will have to double check all my connections and parts. Any suggestion to check parts first?

Usually when you have a bad connection you are supposed to ear a bip sound, but i didn't.

Thank you,

Oh. You can't even get a display when you turn on the system?

What I would do in a situation like that, is to bread board the system outside the case.

Set the MB on an insulated surface (the box it came in would be fine, or any pad the MB sat on in the box).
Connect JUST the CPU/Cooler, 1 stick of RAM in the 1st slot, PSU, Keyboard, and monitor to the integrated video port.
Momentarily short the two pins that the case's power button would connect to in order to start the system.

If you can't get a display and boot to BIOS, I would consider the CPU or MB being defective. Most likely the MB.

Hi clutchc,

Thank you for your help. I finally find the BIOS. After all steps, i found that my cable ( new one) was not working. It simple but crucial. I now used the old one and it perfect.

Thanks again,
