I've been told that for the GPU I should change it to a Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB Video Card, I would like some opinions on that.

Another thing is from the youtube video I've seen about the case, there is a top clearance of 160mm which I assume would fit the Noctua CPU Cooler?

PS: My main aim was to future proof these stuff and might consider SLI/CF and overclocking in the future, but the price for all these components are quite high. Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Also I'm currently in Australia.

If you only plan to game, and aren't doing any CPU intensive tasks such as video editing, gameplay caputre etc, than you can save a few dollars and drop down to an i5 4670k. As far as the 290, its not better than the 780. It WAS at release when it cost significantly less than the 780, but after the nvidia price drops and AMD card prices skyrocketing because of cryptocurrency mining it shouldnt be compared unless it is cheaper. The only games it get closed to a good 780 is the AMD titles and even there its with a couple FPS. I recommend you watch this video...

Hey thanks! I've decided to stick with the gtx 780 after all. But im thinking of changing the i7 to an i5. Also would the heat be a problem?

The heat wont be an issue, that case has some decent airflow and with the noctua cpu cooler and non reference 780 you'll be quite alright. Once again, the 4670k and 4770k are extremely close if not the same in gaming performance, the only reason the i7 should be considered is heavy multi threaded workloads, so yeah grabbing the i5 is by far the best choice for a gaming rig atm, and if you so chose to sli your 780 in the future, the i5 will handle it perfectly fine.
