A pretty much brand new asus gt 640 gpu fan is making a ton of noise. my gpu temps are normal with an idle of 26 degrees and when under workload a 35. I have tried dusting it off (i dust my comp ever few weeks). is there a way to stop the noise without replacing anything? ( i do know a fair amount about removing and replacing parts so i am not worried about taking it apart)

If anyone can i would be extremely appreciated

So your GPU is just above the freezing point of water when under work load? I dont know about you but I like to use my computer inside. (Hint try using Celsius and Fahrenheit signs next time.)

Is it a loud buzzing noise? Also how often is the GPU under heavy load and how long have you had it for?

Its common sense to use celsius with computer components, no need to make a smart ass comment.

My old 9800gt would make a crap ton of noise during normal operation too, couldn't figure out why, just had to deal with it, since its only a month old RMA it while you can.

I'm sorry, but I live in america, we don't use your inferior temperature measurements

Check to make sure the shroud is fastened down as tight as possible. A screw or pressure clip could be loose causing the noise, or a piece of plastic may have broke some how. Could also be the fan itself.
