Added radiator fan and thermal paste raised CPU temps?

My OCed FX 8350 (4.5Ghz) would idle at about 18C with my Corsair Hydro which was in the pull configuration (taking cool air from the back of the case in through the radiator and then the two top fans pulled the air back out) and under load (prime 95) it would never go over 55C.

I just installed another fan on the radiator so that it still pulls in cool ambient air in through the radiator and then the new fan pushes it out. I reapplied the thermal paste. I was using the paste that had come with a Cooler master T4 but I got AS5 this time around. Suddenly my idle temps are at about 26C. As soon as I run Prime 95 it shoots up to 63C. it probably would have kept getting hotter but I stopped it as I dont like my CPU ever going above 55C.

I then tried to reapply the paste, checking to make sure the fans were in the right configuration, etc. Reapplied paste 3 times. Same thing. Then stopped using the AS5 and switched back to the paste that came with the T4. Same thing, idle between 25-27C.

What is going on!?

I took the fan off and it stayed the same. is idling around 25. Ran AMD stability test, shot up to 62C. Should I swap the fans? Should I make the top two case fans be intake instead of outtake and then make the radiator fans pull air from inside the case and push it out?

or should I give it time and let the paste cure a little bit and see if my temps drop over a few days? I just remember reapplying my paste a few weeks ago and had no issues, the temps stayed the same. Suddenly, they are all over the place.

Edit: i just tried again, using less thermal paste. About the size of a grain of rice. Same temps. I am also getting heat spikes, it jumps up to about 32C then goes back down to an idle of 23C.
