That depends on the CPU and PSU you have to go along with it. If you have a lower clocked CPU like a Core 2 Duo E4300 it doesn't make sense to go above a 7750 or R7 250 and depending on the game you may get similar performance from a lesser card. On the GeForce side the GTX 650 is in that area of performance. If you have a higher clocked core 2 duo like an E8600, or just overclocked a lesser model then for some games a 7850 or Geforce 660TI would be a good fit, though it may get held back in some cases with only 2 CPU cores to work with. That's of course assuming you have a decent PSU of course.
