Higher DPC Latency immediately after installing Nvidia drivers

First off, here are my PC specs:

Intel Core i7 3770k @ stock
Asus P8Z77-V Premium Motherboard
EVGA GTX 690 @ stock
G.Skill Ripjaws X 2 x 4GB 2133 DDR3 RAM
Corsair HX850 850W PSU
Intel 520 240 GB SSD
WD Caviar Black 1 TB HDD
Corsair Obsidian 800D Case
Custom Watercooling Loop (CPU and GPU cooled by triple radiator, etc.)

So lately I've noticed my system tends to act slower at times when changing windows or doing certain things. I decided to reinstall Windows 7 64 Bit. I checked the DPC latency and it was at a constant 50 to 100 ms. Prior to reinstalling, the latency would always be above 700 ms. I've tested my laptop and it's always below 200 ms. So after installing the motherboard's drivers as usual (wireless, LAN, sata, chipset, etc.), I retested the dpc and it's still fine, even after one or two reboots. So I go to install the GPU driver. After it installs, everything is fine but I still needed to restart to complete installation. After restarted, I check the DPC latency and it's back up to 700+ ms on this fresh install...

So, my question is... does anyone know why this is? I mean, my hardware should not be communicating slowly to warrant 700+ ms dpc latency. I know it is brought on by Nvidia. I'll try and post on the forums there also to see if anyone has any input.
