Does anyone know when these will come out? Or have any good guesses? :)

Also, will the fact that it is TN absolutely ruin the fact that it is 4k?

Solution

Expensive, yes! but i found one for $2200, new at a trusted site but here is a break down of prices NOT FROM EBAY:

http://

I saw 4K at CES and it was noticeable, clear and beautiful....Helen Keller would notice!

But for what you want to do do you really need 4K ? your gaming so 1080P would work IMHO, graphic guys need clean and clarity so that's why there are machines out there that are more expensive than gaming machines but for gaming stay away from...

They are already out, Dell has there 24,18 and 32 inch monitors already selling. The 28 is a 4K TN at 30hz priced at $699.

The monster of all monitors is their 32"....its 4K ISP at 60hz.....again, 4K, ISP (not TN) at 60Hz (not 30hz like the 28inch), newegg has it for $2999.00 but may go to $2500

And to answer your last question you have to ask your self this....the main diff between TN and ISP is angle and sharpness....now i look at my screen straight not at a angle so no issue there and the sharpness between TN and ISP is not that much because its a 4K. So do you look at your screen at an angle ?

So lets look at the 24" dell and the 28"Dell, they are both 4K but the 24" is $300+ dollars more, why ? because its ISP not TN...so when i looked at both of these i realized its going from a 2 wheel drive Jeep to a 4X4 Jeep, get a 4x4 (ISP) if your going off road to get to work but if your going to take the streets then get the 2 wheel (TN).

I do graphic work, video editing, 3D work and 10% gaming so the 28" 4K TN 30hz is not that bad at all....a bit extra i can get the ISP but its a 24" and i own 28" displays and up and according to everyone that has already gotten the 28" its a good unit but some dislike the 30hz (suspecting gamer) and i personally don't for the simple fact i like speed and always like options, but that part is me being picky :)

P.S. if you get the 28" and want 60hz, you can drop down to a lower res.

Oh I should have said I know about the dells. The 24 inch is a bit on the expensive side when you keep in mind that the 60HZ TN panels coming will be 700$. The 32 Egza models are soooo expensive but they do look nice. Personally I think 18 inches and 24 inches are too small for 4k. I'd like atleast 27.

I currently own a 27 inch 1440p Qnix Monitor from korea. It is amazing! I love the picture on it. So I guess my worry is that a TN 4k monitor won't look THAT good comparatively.

And Im not an FPS freak but 30 hz is too low. My QNIX is 60 and im fine with that. And yes, I only view my monitor straight on from 2-3 feet away.
And I don't want to have to drop resolution unless a game has no 4k support or is too demanding. Then I'd go 1440p in gaming.

So far from what i can see the DELL's are pretty good compared to the competition, every other company might have the technical details but looks to technical and boxy...now to a few that wouldn't matter but the back of my screen is facing customers walking in and the back of the DELL's look good.

Then again there are only a few back bone companies that make the screens and the rest label them to there own....I recall when i as looking at 30 inch monitors 2 years ago and DELL, Apple, HP and gateway were the only ones....they all were the same :) but don't tell the Apple guy that!

TN will always have inferior colours and viewing angles. In my opinion a 4K TN display is completely idiotic, you aren't getting the speed (low ms response time or high refresh) you'd get out of a good TN display, instead you are just getting the downsides, whats the point in the resolution if it doesn't actually look good?

It's actually the 32 inch dell IPS 4K at 60hz, all the 30's that DELL offers are not 4K.

Do i own any of them ?..no BUT i own the DELL 30 inch 3007 and now looking at only the IPS 4K at 60hz...not TN panels.

Why not TN ? simple i do graphics and video editing and IPS has better viewing, put 4K into that and your set.

There are many reviews over the TN vs IPS and IPS by far is inferior to TN.

Now for me and what i do I want the IPS 4K at 60hz, will a TN work?...sure but i'm talking a $200-300 difference at retail and $50-120 dollar difference at my discount for IPS 4K at 60hz, why not get the extra horse power and better fuel eco for a few bucks more ???

Also no one is talking about getting any better than IPS 4K at 60hz right now, sure you have the RnD people working on maybe a 120HZ version or the 6K but as of now, the DELL is in the long run.

Take a moment and look at the reviews on newegg and youtube about these displays, or any other place on Google for reviews, i didn't see any negative feedback about the display just setting up.

I meant 32 inch my bad. I know what you are talking about with that model. It is just very expensive!

I don't do any design at all. I am just interested in gaming. I've seen the reviews on Amazon. People like them, just not the scaling on websites, but that is alright.
