the tx series is made by seasonic which implement very good capacitor. it is a very good product and will last long. for ur reference, corsair psu line up is as follow (performance according to me and my experience):

VS series - entry level which are not good
CX series - mainstream level, so-so performance
GS series - intended for Gaming series but standard performance according to me
TX series - reliable and good performance, if u want to choose corsair at least choose this series
AX series - their flagship, very good performance

Wow thank you for all of your responses! The only thing is, why do I here people complaining about a loud fan coil whine noise with corsair psus? Do you guys have that. I mean I expect a a little fan noise, but is it unbearable

I've only owned corsair and my builds are very quiet, people usually complain when they have problems, not when everything works perfect. Corsair is very popular so you have more units sold, and consequently more bad units sold which equals more people bitching.
