I recently built my new PC rig
The motherboard is H87M-E which has one PCIE 3.0/2.0 x16 and three PCIE 2.0x1,
and my Graphics card is Inno3D GTX 780 Ichill HerculeZ X3 Ultra which requires 3 PCIE slots
I want to ask if i put the GTX 780 in the H87M-E , the top slot is 3.0x16 and the other two are using 2.0x1 , will i face any performance loss with my card ?

More about : gtx 780 pcie 0x1

You will suffer huge performance loss putting that card ina 1x slot. put in no less than a pci 2.0 8x slot or 3.0 8x slot (lanes will vary based on cpu and motherboard)

when it requires 3 pci slots, it means it will cover 3. it will only plug into one of them. plug it directly into the 3.0 slot and it will just be big enough so that you wont be able to use the 2.0 1x slots

H87 chipset doesn't support sli. if you have just one graphics card it should go in the one pci ex x16 slot that it has

It only plugs into one slot but it will cover the neighbouring 2 slots making them unusable.

You can't put it in both at the same time. you can only put it in one pci slot at a time, and then the physical size of the card fills up the other two slots. If you plug it into a 2.0 1x slot then you will lose a lot of performance.

Each of those little protector plates on the back of your case counts as 1 pci slot. The graphics card itself only has 1 connector that plugs into the motherboard into the 3.0 pci slot, but due to the size of the card, it will require the space of all three slots

no, just make sure you have the board properly installed, and make sure you screw the card into the case securely (will be on the left hand side of the card where you had to unscrew to remove the plate that was coveing the pci slot before you installed the card (remove all pci covers (the little metal things on the back of the case that will need to be removed for the gpu to fit in). only remove the ones needed

Thanks ... I also want to ask will some cards such as sound card and wifi card put on the PCIE 2.0X1 harm the performance too ?

one more silly question , is it silly to put such high performance specs ( i7-4770 , gtx 780 ...) on just a uATX board ? if i dont need any crossfireX and SLI

It's not silly, as it wont hinder performance, you just lose extra pci slots and stuff like usb headers and such.
you may want to try a z87 motherboard though.
