I asked you guys a long time ago what to do to upgrade my GPU without replacing my stock PSU (not the best idea I know, but I don't have hefty requirements to be happy). It seemed you all pretty much said unanimously to get an HD7750. I checked the wattage requirements and have decided that I'm getting one. I want the Asus, however, when I checked it's power consumption it can max at 75w versus some of the others with merely 43w max. This seems to be quite a big difference in power consumption and it worries me. Does this seem okay or can y'all recommend something better?

EDIT: This is a stock Pavilion 500-123w.

You should be fine. It would be a safe estimate that your CPU, Mobo, RAM all together along with a 7750 wouldn't use more than 250 Watts of Power. I would suggest getting a 430-500W PSU if you want upgradability in the future, and to be safe (Some 300W PSUs will screw everything up)

What is your CPU and what is your PSU Brand. If you have an AMD FX 9590 and a Logysis PSU, you better get a better PSU to run any GPU. If you have something like an AMD FX 6300 or i5 4670K and an EVGA PSU, you should be fine.

Dunno the PSU this is a "mart" computer from the store my parents bought me. It's an i3 3240 CPU though.

Just ordered one! It's definitely a step up from my old 5450 512mb! You have the solution.
