Hello, I just finished putting in a new 4770k cpu with an msi Z87 G45 motherboard and a Corsair H100i. I am very confused by the temp readings i'm getting from some of my core temperature readings using open hardware monitor.

If you look at temperature #4 and #6 they both have max readings of over 120C. Temp #6 however dips into the NEGATIVE temps. I am incredibly confused.

I ran prime 95 for about an hour and saw mid 60 temps across the board for all the cpu temps. System has been completely stable for hours while playing some games and streaming. Can anyone offer me some advise as to why those readings are so weird? Did i screw something up while installing my H100i?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It's just compatibility problems, some mobo sensor ic is not supported by HWmonitor.... that's why those number happen...

sadly nothing we can do, can only wait for newer Ver. of HWmonitor... or try using other sensor apps (like the one that came with mobo)

120C ?!?! wow, if that were true, that could've probably melted through your unit :) And you'd surely feel that heat :)
Hmm, try using a different software to measure your temps just for comparison.
