Looking to upgrade my stock fans that came with my Corsair Obsidian 750D and Corsair h100i CPU cooler.

I was thinking of getting 2xNF-F12 for the h100i and 3xNF-A14 PWM for the case fans, one as exhaust on the rear and 2 for intake in the front, thereby maintaining positive pressure in the case.

My main goal is silence, but without losing the performance (airflow) from the stock fans. Are these fans good enough to keep my temps the same or better while giving me a quieter environment as well? If not, then i will probably just stick to the stock fans i have.

Alternatively, if someone can suggest another option that would fulfill my needs, thanks!

You could also consider Corsair AF 1100rpm fans. Another to consider: Scythe Gentle Typhoon. Excellent fans.

I can't comment on the NF-F12s but I have one NF-A14 and it runs very quiet.

You want Gentle Typhoons, AP-14 or AP-15. They push more air and do it quieter at the same time. They also cost a bit less than Noctuas and and AREN'T diarrhea brown.

Assuming price and color are not an issue, would you still go with the AP-14's for case cooling over the NF-A14 PWM?

Also, what about the h100i? Get the NF-F12's or stick with stock? I am likely not going to get the corsair fans as i have seen almost unanimously people recommending the noctua ones over the corsairs. Most seem to say they make the best fans in the market, and the main downsides are price and color. My only concern is performance however, both in airflow and noise.

Well I meant for everything, in particular the rad. But yes I would go with them even if the price and terrible color scheme were reversed.
I'm surprised you heard that noctua fans are regarded as the best; more expensive yes but the Gentle Typhoons are about the best fans on the market and have been for quite some time. Most people tend to prefer the 15s but if silent is what you want, than def the 14s.

What I love about the Noctua NF-A14 PWM is its performance. Very quiet and great air flow. Also, not sure about Corsair fans, the Noctua fans come with:
rubber corners to absorb vibration,
no metal screws instead use stretchable rubber pieces to attach fan to case,
have a low noise adapter so you can run the fan at quieter speed if you want,
and lastly a Y splitter to connect to fans to one cable.

I'm extremely impressed with Noctua. I also love the Scythe Gentle Typhoon. If I were to add case fans I'd use 140mm in front and 120mm fans on top.

As for Corsair h100i.You gotta remove those LOUD Corsair fans and replace them with something else. The Corsair AF/SP seem to be the most popular replacement choice.

So having used both the NF-A14 PWM as well as Scythe fans, you would choose which one if you had to do it over again? I am starting to lean towards the Scythe now as everyone who has posted so far has recommended them.

Only thing is, the Scythes are 120mm but the case i have can take 140mm for the rear exhaust and front intake. The h100i will be using the 120mm, so i can buy 2 scythes for that, or the NF-F12 (i believe its better than the NF-A series for use with radiators). But for the case fans i would need 140mm wouldnt i?

Do you feel the Scythe 15's would be quieter than the stock h100i fans? If that is the case, i could still consider these over the 14's, as i am getting a lot more performance while still getting lower noise levels which is my objective.

Excellent, the scythe 15's are what i am going to purchase for my h100i :) Now about the case fans, since these are 120mm shouldnt i be getting something which is 140mm as thats what the case supports?

I like the choice of NF-A14 PWM as front fans. Excellent fans. Also, they are front fans so you'll never see what they look like from the case window but the performance you will have.

Are you sure the Scythe AP 15 will fit in a H100i? I know a lot of people replace the stock H100i fans with 120mm Corsair AF fans.

Yup they will fit. Problem is they aren't available where i live, so they won't be an option sadly. Looks like i might just have to go with the Noctuas NF-F12 for the h100i unless there is something else aside from these 2 companies.

I searched for Corsair vs Noctua and people suggest that Corsair fans are good, but not the best of the best. They tend to be a bit noisier than the Noctuas mainly, and i am trying to focus on a silent pc but without losing any airflow preferably from my stock fans.

I'm using NF-F12s on my H100i in a 650D in a push configuration, with Corsair Link. It's so quiet that I can barely hear the thing in action, even if I put my head next to it. I also use Corsair AF and SP fans, which are good, but the Noctuas are flat-out incredible.
