I am trying to copy a large amount of files between my 2 laptops. The easiest way I see in doing that is to uninstall laptop A, Dell 1745, Hardrive into laptop B, Dell 7720. I took the files from laptop A and put them on B just fine. Formatted the A drive, reinstalled Windows 7, then copied the files back (from B to A), put it back into laptop A and it's just a black screen with error code 2000-0146. I know my Hardrive is not damaged because it was working just fine in laptop B. There were about a half hours worth of security fixes in Dos then it played like it was starting up just to come to a black screen with a movable arrow. Laptop B has win 8 btw. Any help PLEASE!! If I reinstalled Hardrive A into laptop B and removed win 8 password function, would it fix it? I'm sick and don't want to do that if there's an easier fix. Laptop A actually had password to log in too, so I don't know! Thanks so much in advance!
