Good choice.... I love that card, I bought one to replace my Sapphire R9 270X due to noises and temperature and I couldn't be happier!

It works well out of the box, install afterburner and the small app with the three settings (forgot its name).

If you want to test the card with a stress test use Furmark... or play a game :D

that it doesn't crash and you get no artifacts, the latter is unlikely

Stability....you can use Furmark http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ and it would do the same, putting your GPU under stress.... you'll be surprise how quiet it is and it is a great card!

Well it depends where you are, room temperature and case...

I do have a Mini ITX Cooler Master Elite 120 but I do have two 120mm case fan and a Intel CPU so there is not much heat....if you have an AMD then you have an oven in the case lol

80 is a bit high not that you are going to brake the card or anything but it won't let you have margin to overclock the card

See the temperatures:

You can have a big case, but bad air-flow.
Also, it deppends how the preapplied TIM looks on your card (not sure if replacing it voids the warranty or not for you).

However, based on your case model, room temperature, case fans modding - you can impact your GPU temperature.

The Thermal Threshold for that card is 95° so 80 degrees despite a bit high isn't the end....however please mind that thermal paste takes a bit of time to become optimal in its function, same when you change it on a processor....just use the card for gaming as usual and retry :)

I have checked online and with 25° of room temperature you shouldn't go over 70 degrees.... again 80 isn't the end of the world.
