If you can pay 35$ more, you can get a very good bang-for-buck monitor --> http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vx238h
If you have to have a monitor under 150$ and are very strict on budget, i suggest --> http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/benq-monitor-gw2255

I assume with that budget you don't have a gpu that will get much above 60fps if it even gets to 60.
If you're going above budget, get this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/benq-monitor-rl2455hm

1ms response time and best in terms of input lag you will find.
Really really good if you need a fast gaming monitor

It's 24" btw

There's not much point spending big dish on a gpu like that and skimping on a monitor unless you're just getting one for now because you can't afford it and will upgrade, but you'd really need a 120hz monitor for that card and if you want a good gaming one, then it'll cost you.
And if you don't, the. You're just wasting money getting a 780

I can always save for a few weeks longer than I initially planned, could you suggest some other monitors that you that would be very compatible with my GPU?

You could do what I'm doing and wait for g sync to get a bit cheaper, I'm getting that benq for now with a 760 and will be purchasing g sync with a 120hz maybe 144hz monitor when price drops. If you just wanna wait and buy a monitor gimme real price range, whether you want an ips monitor and does it have to be black? Is speed really important to you?

Okay ill wait like you suggested, but lets Ill save around $400 - $500 for a good monitor. I would prefer it to be black colour but its not vitally important. And gaming speed yes, turn on time not so much.

I apologise if this was poorly worded, i am extremely tired

Think the vg248qe is about 400-500 now so that'll go down a bit maybe by the time you get the money. It's a fast monitor with good input lag and ms times.its also 144hz And it's black.
I haven't done much research on g sync monitors coz I think it's a bit of a rip off atm.
Keep an eye on it as they start selling it built into other monitors
G'luck
