My CPU is reaching 104°C when running and then shuts down shortly after it has booted. Iv tried starting the PC and opening the BIOS and i still get the same problem. Iv cleaned the dust out, iv replaced the thermal paste and still the same problem.
Iv removed the water cooling system and opened in the PC in the BIOS and it shuts down a lot quicker than having the water cooling on therefore i think the water cooling is still working.
This has been happening for 2 months now but has gradually gotten worse and now i cant use the PC.

Please help stop my CPU from overheating. i don't know what the problem is.

I have one more question can or should a CPU with no cooling on it reach 100°C on the BIOS when started up?? please answer this because it might answer a question i have because i think the water cooling is clogged.

Intel i 7
3.60GHz
8GB RAM
32 bit op
Windows 7 home premium

your pump is not working, its time to replace the pump if its a custom loop, replace the hole all in one watercooler, or go back to air cooling. If this has been going on for the past few months like you state then I don't expect your cpu to last any length of time. Your cpu is hitting the overheat limit and is shutting down the computer.

Few other things, don't turn your computer on if there isn't a cooler attached to the cpu, and upgrade to a 64bit os so you can use the full 8gb of ram you have installed and not the 4gb that widows 7 32bit allows.
Every CPU needs some kind of cooler. The stock fan/heatsink or some aftermarket cooler. Try the stock air cooler and see if you have the same problem. That will tell you if there's a problem with your water cooling solution.

What are you using for a water cooler?
