case power wires?

can i connect the power led wires to the motherboard without the white plastic expansion thing since my motherboard didnt come with one? if not where can i get one from?

my case is a cit vantage and motherboard is an asus h81m

power LED wires usually have a plastic plug around each pin.
The motherboard connector is usually just pins sticking up out of the board.
You slide the plug over the correct pin.
I'm not sure what the "white plastic expansion thing" is.
