Basically what the title says. Should i get the i7 4930k or the i7 3970x. I will mostly be using my pc for extreme gaming, doing high end projects, video editing, watching blu-rays/dvds and browsing the internet. To me prices don't matter. Here are my computer specs :

Case - cooler master cosmos 2 ultra tower
Cpu - i7 4930k
Gpu - gtx 780ti superclocked
Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Gene
Memory - 16gb ddr3 ram 2400mhz
storage - 2tb western digital hdd
- 240gb ssd
optical drive - 12 x blu-ray 16x dvd
power supply (psu) - corsair 1000w 80 plus gold full modular
processor cooling - corsair h100i
sound card - asus sonar dgx
wi-fi card - dual band 802.11n 450mbps
Operating system - windows 8.1 64 bit

Thank you

Really only a little, 800MHz won't have any effect for the memory??

In most tasks, not really, It mainly benefits APUs where the GPU needs fast RAM as they dont have access to GDDR5 that graphics cards have. That said, if you dont want to save money and want the fastest then go for it :)

Yeah, so I would say its a waste of money IMO, especially for games:
