Buy a new one. They don't cost enough to make it worthwhile struggling to get it to work. They all fail at some point and once it has started to misbehave you will never be able to trust it again so get rid of it is the best policy.

If you have important data you need to get from it, well you shouldn't have put important data on it anyway if it wasn't backed up to a more reliable device first (eg optical disk or hard drive).

That's helpful. You truly are a great contribution to forums like these. I mean what is the point typing the obvious. Did you just wake up and think how can I be a dick. Eureka! I'll point out the obvious to make people feel like shit. WTF!

I know it's an old thread, but some people still come and there isn't a good answer, so you may try this:

Click on Start;
Click on Run;
Type: chkdsk /f PenDrivePartition: ;
Press Enter or click on OK.

Ex.: Assuming your pen drive partition is G:, you should type: chkdsk /f g:

Good luck!
