Hi
Ok pc was working last night , come to turn on this morning no power,
power getting to the motherboard as there is a green light on the pws and when i turn on pc the heatsink fan turns well moves about 1 inch and then nothing,
Tried 2 more pws same results so i guessing not the power supply ,tried the screwdriver trick to start the pins on motherboard to see if it was the power switch on case that was not working but same as above nothing, no beeps nothing ,changed cords, changed outlet sockets ,still nothing, cannot try another motherboard to see if it is the cpu (don't think it will be that )as the one i got is amd motherboard (this is the wife's pc she just runs internet and few games ) cannot find no blow capacitors on motherboard , is there anything else i can try so see if it the motherboard that's dead i guessing it is. before i try to sort something out about getting it replaced and sending it back.
any help will be appreciated.

Mainly want to know if all the issues that they were having are resolved not the fact we want a correct answer. A selected resolution helps others that search these forums and also google looking for something similar to the issue there having so that they don't have to ask, they can find a "solved" answer pertaining to there own issue and go from there.

You basically described a dead motherboard. I had a similar problem with my friend's PC the other week. I had another motherboard that would work with his system though. So I switched it out, and then it worked perfectly!

But, as for troubleshooting, do you hear any POST beeps when you turn it on? If not, that signifies it is the mobo, CPU, or PSU. But, as you have said, you already switched the PSUs. So, it is the processor or mobo. It sounds like the mobo to me. I would send it back and get a new one.

Good luck!

intel q6600 the cpu , the wife don't use it much just for odd game and internet i bought it for me and passed it to wife when i got new set up don't like wasting a good chip because of motherboard , , the motherboard should be under warranty
only had it 5 months ,new from micro centre was going to see if they could swop it or give me money back etc, don't think they will but might try , if not i try emailing msi and see what they can do .

Yeah should have at least a 1 year warranty behind it for sure. If not post back and maybe we can help you find a cheap board.
