the official site says 500w is needed.

but I was told I will do good with

XFX ProSeries 450W

is it true ?

no oc, no future upgrade, just using for casual gaming (is it good btw?)

thanks

Solution
The vp500PC(it only has 408 watt @ 12 volts, just so you know. This makes it the same as far as output goes as the 450 you are looking at) should be ok, but again, I do not think your system draw will be an issue for either power supply(same output and your system is not hungry for power).

its not for me but a friend so I used the max budget I could and it fits right at the max price he wanted.

I could drop to the 1gb version of same VGA would it be big difference in games ?

or get PC Antec VP500PC (but I don't see any certification on that one, is it ok?)

It is not a bad unit at all.

Just food for thought, my media center has a undervolted i5 750 and gtx 650 ti(used to have a 5770). Cards that are recommending 400-450 watt power supplies. Now this is a lean system, but yours should not be too bad.

The full system has yet to take more then 180 watts from the wall if I trust my ups(and at the wall numbers are higher than the actual power use numbers).

I also build a system for my brother with the same board/cpu combination and with a GTX660 I do not think it took too much power(i will about getting actual numbers when I can access that system again.). My only recommendation for that board is using a top down cooler if you can(the stock cooler is a top down model) because that boards vrms get rather hot(but still within spec).
