Burning smell coming from the case after installing a brand new GTX 650

As the title suggests, I installed this GPU and got the weird smell. I checked it for stability and temperatures in furmark and it never went above 65C. Could this be a PSU problem? I have 400W PSU and here's my non-power hungry build:

Intel i3-540 not overclocked (this chip is about 4 years old)
Samsung HD 120IJ
Asus P7H55-M LX
2X2GB Hyperx blue
DVD-RW

It might very well be the PSU: Cheap units usually fail to deliver their rated output so the new card may be overloading it. I think a replacement would be a VERY good idea...Look for 450-500W from Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone, XFX, EVGA, Antec or FSP.
The other possibility is that the new card is just settling in, most cards will give off a sweet 'metallic' smell when new, in which case it will go away after a few days.

Hey, thanks for your answers! I just noticed that the smell is coming directly from the PSU. That must be it then, I must find time and money to buy a new one. In the meantime do you think I should remove the GPU and switch back to the integrated graphics?

Did you get a new PSU and if so, how's it going?

I hope you don't mind me asking, it's just that I've had exactly the same problem and the PC I've been using has a GTX 650 with a 500W PSU. Actually I checked the recommended minimum electric power for the PSU and it came back as 500W (even more if I have a device or two I'm unaware of (I'm a noob on PC hardware)). I have been told that PSUs which only meet the minimum power requirements can have problems.
