budget upgrade for gaming

just need some help with a budget rig. I have a gtx 660 grapics card and a power supply I can use already and its high enough to power my current rig twice. anyways i have about 300$ for a quad core processor pci express slot or pci slot for gpu, motherboard, and ram 4-8 doesn't matter it can be amd or intel thanks hope i can upgrade current motherboard won't support a new cpu thats quad-core other than a old 330$ one that will run close to what I have now.

You might need a new case. If Skyrim is your main game of choice, you might want to consider an i3/i5, instead as Skyrim tends to favor Intel.

If your desk top is a lenovo, you may or maynot be able to upgrade your processor , it depends on the bios of the mobo, oem'S LIKE LENOVO, HP, Dell, tend to limit the processors they support.
If you are upgrading the mobo also, there is a good chance you OS will not work as OEM os's are tied to the original mobo. Best to go to Lenovo for info on the processors/bios.

Would I need new case? thanks for really quick reply too and then also will I be able to play skyrim at a good frame rate max settings or games in general? right now for skyrim on ultra im getting about 40fps

I know that I need pretty much a new computer lol. will I be able to use my hard drive on a new motherboard?

I have an asus Computer too same spec pretty much as my computer just well its an asus. would I have to download windows again if I used that I really don't feel like spending another 100-120$ On windows seeing I already have it.
