Can you harm your TV's Hertz rate in any way? (decrease)?

Heya,

I've bought a new Smart TV, and it might sound like a silly question but is there a way to damage your TV's refresh rate? For instance by displaying flickering images at 30FPS?

I know it sounds really silly, but I was watching a movie and there was a seizure scene that ran for about 5 seconds, and I was afraid that it harmed my new TV.

Kind Regards!

No, it won't harm your TV at all if it does that, the companies manufacture TV's knowing pictures like that could be displayed in a "seizure scene" like way. Also, for future reference, it is called the refresh rate, measured in Hertz!
