Using magnetic tip screwdriver for computer assembly?

A few years ago , i read in a computer magazine that magnetic tip screwdrivers shouldn't be used while installing computer parts.

Is there any truth in that?

Magnetic screwdrivers would mes sup magnetic storage (e.g., floppy disks and hard disks) many years ago. Today, the floppies are gone and the hard disks are more resilient.

Please do use a magnetic screw driver, as a dropped screw will short something out far more often than a magnetic screwdriver will cause problems.
