USB failures and other issues

I have 10 USB ports in total. The four on the top which have never worked, and 6 in the back the most bottom ports don't function. My keyboard, mouse and headset all require my USB ports and all work perfectly fine individually. When I use 2 out of the 3 they work just fine. Once I plug in the third USB one of the three (normally my keyboard) stops working. Even though it doesnt work the lights on the keyboard, mouse, or headset (which ever stops working) stay lit. When I have all three plugged in I can still use my mouse and keyboard fine only if I disable my headphones and microphone. Another oddity with this is I can keep my microphone disabled and all 3 will work UNTIL the headphones are in use by anything then yet again (normally the keyboard) will stop working. All 3 work fine with no issues, as all 3 are fairly new. I know its something with my USB ports since when I use a headset that required the separate headphone and microphone jacks all works fine with no issues. Anyone know of a way I can fix this?

Do you know the parts in your system like the motherboard, CPU, RAM, Power supply and case your system is built with. Or if its a Dell or other brand the model you have?

Sounds like you need a POWERED USB Hub. There is not enough power supplied by your system to use all the USB ports. Could be a weak power supply or something is taking all the power, but a POWERED USB hub is a quick and easy fix. By powered I mean a USB HUB that comes with its own AC power adapter. As to the ports on the top of your case where they connected to your Motherboard.

Problem solved, USB ports were freaking out and were responding as always being in use if something was plugged in or not. I basically force disconnected all ports and reinstalled drivers for each my mouse headset and keyboard and this issue no longer exists
