Nope, it looks kinda bad. The microATX my small desktop is using is based on roughly a 7xx-chipset generation, which is mostly circa 2008 with some improvements. (GA-78LMT-USB3) I was looking for something for my x6 Thuban to go into, but that is somehow the best that's out there now. They did used to have some mATX stuff based on at least the 8xx series chipsets, but those are all out of print now.
Given they've axed Steamroller from AM3+ altogether, they may not actually do anything else with the socket.
It seems to me that we're stuck kind of waiting until 2015 or so for both Intel and AMD for a real jump. Until then it's anyone's guess.
Then again, given Intels shift to at least half of the CPU die being the integrated graphics, and AMD's enthusiasm for APU's (which if they're right they may really be onto something, but that could be another entire programming shift to utilize like more than one core is - worst case) we may be stuck in "good enough" land from now on, and the only way for us enthusiasts to get any more if that's true is to get server parts.
