HD 6670 DDR5 or HD 7750 DDR3?

The two video cards I'm looking at are the HIS HD 6670 with 1GB DDR5 and the PowerColor HD 7750 with 1GB DDR3. I can get either one for about $60.

Should I go with the 6670 because of the DDR5 or with the 7750 because it's newer? Or maybe you could suggest something better that doesn't cost too much more?

Thanks!

=====

Current build (if it helps):
CPU: i3 3240
GPU: ASUS GT 420 (a.k.a, waste of money)
Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
PSU: 500W generic
RAM: 4GB 1600MHz

More about : 6670 ddr5 7750 ddr3

That's a tough call. The HD 7750 will be hampered by the slower VRAM. I think it may be a tossup. Or slightly in favor of the HD 7750. Can you up your budget to $99? This will blow both of them out of the water: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks a bunch! The place where I buy from has that same card for just under $80 :wahoo:

I was just about to buy the 7750, too. Literally, I was just about to head out xD

I'll definitely be getting the 7770. Thanks again!

$80 for a HD 7770! Wow! I suppose it is a local store, not someplace one can order from online?
Just be aware that the HD 7770 will require a 6 pin PCIe aux cable to feed it. Usually an adapter for PCIe to Molex comes with the card, though... if you have a fairly good PSU.
