Hi, I recently brought a new motherboard and I wanted to know if my Corsair CX500 watt CPU is powerful enough to run it.
MOBO: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
Graphics Card: AMD 7970
CPU: AMD 8320
If anyone has any suggestions id like to hear it. Thanks.

Solution
So your cpu has tdp of 125W and gpu of 250W.
125+250=375÷12=31.25A +5A/6A=36A/37A
That will be close so i recommend u not to do overclocking
If u canbe more specific about your gpu coz reference 7970 requires min.of 500W psu and fx 8320 is also power hungry.U will not be able to overclock your Cpu while using 500W psu with 7970
Mobos dont consume much power so your psu will handle it easily. Its cpu and gpu u should be worrying about.

XFX Radeon HD 7970 DD Edition 3GB

If dont have overclock much u will be just fine with this psu.
A method to check how much power u need @+12V output of your psu is calculate total power of your cpu and gpu then divide it by 12.Add 5-7 A more for fans and result will show u how much current you need for cpu and gpu bcoz they both operate on +12V output.
