We just moved house and I un-boxed my PC last night, to learn that the graphics card seems to have died. It is very strange though, the frame rate in all games as suddenly dropped to single figures. No artifacts or funny colours, it just feels like I am running on-board graphics. Everything still registers the card as still in and I have given it a shove to make sure, but weirdly EVGA precision now registers the GPU usage as 0% at all times. I have tried installing the latest drivers and saw no change. Any advice would be gratefully received.

My set-up:
GPU Nvidia GTX 470
Board: Asrock z68 Extreme3 gen 3
CPU: i5 2500k (Sandy) - OC'd to a modest 4.2 atm
RAM: 16gig
Case: Silverstone Fortress FT02
HD: Samsung SSD 840

I'll state the obvious because someone has to ;).
If the system has a large, heavy cooler it may have worked loose in transit and is now applying uneven pressure on the CPU causing localised overheating, check the temps.
Run through the system and check everything is still tight and in place: Take out the memory modules, addon cards etc and reseat them, and do likewise with the cables.
