Windows does not recognise router

AI have a Toshiba laptop, Plusnet router and Samsung Smart TV with dongle in USB port. Most of time Windows does not recognise router message appears on laptop and on Samsung TV router is recognised but will not connect to internet. Have been on line for one hour this morning without interruption. which is very unusual. Any suggesions please. HW sk your question

One possibility is that the wireless chip in your laptop can't handle the level of security the router is sitting behind. If it's WPA2, try dropping that one level to WPA and see if it makes a difference. Details on how to do that are in my our Sticky Post on the subject :-
