what is better 2gb x2 or 4gb x1

I am going to make a new gaming pc and want to play bf4 and games that will come out in the future.
what is better x2 2gb graphics card or just x1 4gb card???
and will that x2 2gb cards make 4gb

No, I would rather get 1 x 4 gb graphics card because in the future the extra vram will be useful for SLI and multimonitors and if this is a good 4gb card then it will easily overpower 2 weak 2gb cards

Middzy: Read the SLI/CF sticky at the top of the Forum, it's an old article now but still valid in most respects.
Me, I'd go for 1x4Gb if you're going to game on either more than one monitor or on a very high res monitor.
For a single 1080 display, a fast 2Gb card is still enough although you might want to consider a 3Gb card for future games.
