The stock cooler gets loud by time i play games and its pissing me off, as everyone knows turbo mode is automaticly enabled on this CPU.
So yea how can i turn that turbo thing off i want it to run on stock 3.5 ghz.
Wheres the the location in the bios where i can disable that turbo thing.

Some basic info:
CPU: AMD FX 8320
Motherboard:Asus M5A78L-m LX3
Cool n Quiet: On

Im guessing if i turn turbo off my cpu will be a little more quiet when playing games.

Also any other advice how to make my stock cooler more quiet.

oh I see, sorry.. It would be somewhere in the BIOS... If you search it you should find an option saying 'AMD Turbo Core Technology' It should be said to auto.. if you disable that it should disable TURBO...

The stock cpu cooler for these cpu's are very loud and inefficient. I would recommend buying an aftermarket cooler, for example Gammaxx 300 cpu cooler or a Hyper 212 Evo. I have the Deepcool Gammaxx 300 and it is very quiet and it also very efficient. I am currently running my 8320 at 3.7Ghz and temps never go above 50 C when playing BF4.

i checked the manual and couldn't find anything related to turbo, maybe this feature shows up in a newer bios version, what's your recent bios version?
and btw your motherboard doesn't support 125w processors and fx-8320 is one of them, your motherboard is working over it's limits, thats not safe

Its working fine , alot of people have fx 8320 on motherboards who support 95w(but still im planing better motheboard for more ram slots , fans etc)
I found an update for my bios and i never updated my bios i downloaded the update and it a .rom file , can i update my bios using typical .exe file ?
