ASRock, MSI and Gigabyte all have good Z87 offerings in this price range, not sure what's best. This ASRock is on sale..
I already have a PSU and SSD/Hard drives.
This is the PSU I have: [http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cmpsu750tx10]
Is this cooler good enough? Any better value I'm missing?

Solution
Yeah the cooler is perfect for this budget. I would get any gigabyte or asus motherboard. Those guys are my first preference these days. The asus z87-a is a nice motherboard and is cheap. Also get the evga version of the 770. Zotac is for radeon graphics cards

Awesome! Yea, I watched a couple reviews on that case and realized it was exactly what I wanted. I hope it's in stock soon...

One last question, would using a higher-speed ram matter? I see a lot of people suggesting a 1x8gig stick, but I thought DDR worked better in pairs?

Thanks

Yeah ddr3 is way better in pair because it runs at dual channel speeds which is faster then a single stick. Plus the max upgrading you will probably do is for the to 16gb. No an increases from 1600mhz to 2133 wont make a big difference. They all are mostly similar. Now you will notice a difference between 1333 and 2400
