I'm hoping someone can help. I built a rig about 10 months ago, basic specs below:
I7-3820
Asus rampage IV extreme
32GB (4x8) corsair vengeance 1866mhz
SSD
kuhler h2o920 cooler
Everything has been going great with the set-up, until Thursday just passed.
I turned on my PC to find the error code 0C (zero c) in the asus mobo, and it just stuck there. The red dram led was also lit. I tried restarting a few times with no luck.
I then tried switching BIOS, and it booted. Suspecting a memory issue I ran memtest86+ overnight, but it didn't show any problems. I presumed it had fixed itself and just shut down the PC.
I then turned it back on Friday night and got the same error back. Again I tried switching bios, and after a few attempts this got it booting again.
Then I shut down for the night. I've come to use it again today (saturday), and the error code is back, with the red dram led lit. I can't get it to POST at all now.
I haven't installed any new software for months, nor any new hardware.
So far I've tried clearing cmos, updating bios 2, trying each memory stick individually and in different slots, unplugging all but the essentials, memOK, changing the motherboard battery, reseating EVERYTHING, but I'm having no luck.
Has anyone seen this before or have any advice that might help me sort it?
I've googled a lot but not found anything close.
