Sorry if it's one of those questions again.

Planning on making a build for a friend we can save $140 where I am and spend it on the other stuff by using my spare PSU a Silverstone ST50EF-Plus. Will it be enough for a R9 270X Vapor X, A10 6800K (already have and saving money aswell), 2 Cooler Master Jetflo fans, 2 Corsair AF fans, 1 Samsung 840 Evo 120gb SSD, 2TB Seagate HDD. It has 18 amps on rail 12v1 and 18amps on rail 12v2 with a combined rating of 432w (36 amps) and a total wattage of 500w

Solution
For a system using a single AMD Reference Design Radeon R9 270X graphics card AMD specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater system power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps or greater and have at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous...
I think that 500w is a bit low for the video card , however since you already have the power supply you can try it and see if it will power the Pc. The area where you may run into a problem is in gaming when the video card will want added power to run the game. Overclocking will also cause added power to be needed if you go that route.

Because of these problem areas I think it would be a good idea to get a new higher wattage power supply.

Like I had said in my previous post that since you already have the 500w power supply give it a shot and see if it works , the specifications of the card say a 500w power supply is required and being a Silverstone PSU it should give you enough power for what you need. If you run into problems you can always upgrade later

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

The SilverStone Element Series 500W (ST50EF-PLUS) power supply unit, with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 36 Amps and with two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is sufficient to power your system configuration with a single Radeon R9 270X graphics card.
