Fans turning on for half a second then nothing.

I replaced my power supply, I've made sure I have everything hooked up correctly but it's still doing the same thing. The power supply is a Thermaltake TR2 700W. My motherboard is a 750GMA-p34 am3+

Edit: I tried the paperclip test, it worked. Same problem with the fans turning for half a second.

Allied (a.k.a. Apex, Deer, L&C, Solytech, Supercase) earned a reputation for producing power supply units that would explode. So your Allied 285W model SL-8320BTX lived up to its reputation.

Your system doesn't require anything more than a reputable brand 300W power supply unit.

It all depends on what your power supply budget amount is. You can spend more money and get a higher quality, higher efficiency, modular output cable PSU if you want.

If you're planning on upgrading the graphics card you will need...
If the power supply doesn't output a Power_OK / PowerGood at the correct time the motherboard will not latch to On.

The paperclip test is only to test if the power supply itself will turn on. It will not test that it's functioning correctly.

Try a better quality power supply unit. Thermaltake's TR2 RX series are on the To-Be-Avoided list.

My last power supply blew out, If that helps. Could it have affected my CPU fan?

I got 700W because I planned on upgrading soon. My problem is still with my fans turning on and off, the computer not booting up.

As I've said, in my first reply above, the PSU isn't outputting a Power_OK / Power_Good signal to the motherboard at the right time. If the motherboard doesn't receive that signal from the power supply at the right time or at all then all you're going to see is a twitch of the fans.

Your Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W PSU is made by HEC/Compucase. HEC is not considered to be a good PSU manufacturer.

Get a better quality PSU.
