In some places in games such as BFBC2,COD WAW,PAYDAY 2 I get shadows like this - http://imgur.com/IQizs5P

Temps never go above 80.
I have a Alienware x51 R2 with a GTX 670 and 16GB of DDR3 Ram and Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40 GHZ
We have tried replacing the heat sink on the CPU and the actual GPU.
Doesn't fix it.
Any help :/

Solution
it does mate, thats how i know its an engine issue.
il tell you what, try adjusting the gfx both texture level and shadow levels as it only seems to happen when high rez textures and high rez shadows are used when it happens to me. also disable soft shadows to see if that has an effect. if it doesnt then you might be on to something new but it will likely fix it. especially if your running on a card that has 1 gig of ram only.
coz its not a hardware problem mate it wont be helped by changing coolers.
it happens when you use soft shadows and displacement maps on textures (displacement maps give the illusion of depth to a textured surface) but because of the way its been programmed and how textures are stored in memory you end up with this kind of distortion to the gfx.
it happens on both nvidia and amd gpus so it is a game engine issue.
