I'm looking for a solid gaming rig. My budget: $900-$1000. I have been looking over the Alienware x51 i5 model-- But I hear mixed things about this. That, I could possibly build a better rig for the same price. ($850) -- So please share your opinions with me! (Need something that will handle the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online with high-ultra settings, without lag.) Thanks for your time! :)

With that budget, I recomment you to build a custom rig, you can search on Google/Youtube for tutorials... E.g LinusTechTips

I recommend you to go with AMD for that budget :)

Threw this build together as, more or less, an example. Went with Intel on this one, but you could easily knock a good chunk off by going with AMD; as Vince120 has stated. You'd be better off building your own, but that's just my two cents. :)
