Need to upgrade my Optiplex 3010 desktop PSU for new video card

I am trying to upgrade my video card on the Dell Optiplex 3010 Desktop (not SFF), so that I can play COD Black Ops. The current PSU is only 250W, and I can't find a card that will play the game with that power requirement. The Dell site is useless for upgrading PSUs...and replacing the entire chassis is not an option...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Get maybe 500w-600w from a good brand. Don't cheap out on the PSU. Corsair, Seagate or beQuiet! are good brands. I'm not gonna search a model for you, because I've been helping people all day and I need some fresh air.

Thanks for the input. I haven't been able to find a suitable PSU upgrade for my Dell so I guess I am stuck buying a graphics card which will run on 250 Watts...

I haven't been able to find a power supply that will match up with my Dell DT chassis. Wrong sizes, voltages, cabling, etc...I can't believe anyone still makes 250W PSUs these days!

I see. I can't help you with the PSU because that question is just way too specific. Almost everyone just gets regular PSUs, I have no knowledge about such special cases.

However, if you are having that much trouble I would strongly suggest getting a new case after all. Changing the PSU already requires a lot of work with all the cables needing to be replaced. Unscrewing the motherboard and putting it in a new case is probably less work than the whole re-cabling.You'll probably want to upgrade to a much better rig at some point in your life. Whether it is when games get more demanding, when there is a specific game you really love or when you start earning more money, at some point you'll wanna upgrade and cases are not nearly affected as badly as other parts by the progress of technology. The only technology in cases that has changed recently is USB3, which can also be provided by motherboards or PCI cards.
