The Problem
I just bought the R9 290 Tri-X a couple of days ago, and I'm wondering why the FPS' I get with the card seem to be a lot lower then I expected.
In for example Battlefield 4, my FPS fluctuates between 45-70, a lot of the time it's between 45-55, and this is with every on ultra, expect Anti-Aliasing Deferred which is turned off.
Likewise, in Smite I'm getting about the same performance, if not slightly lower at times, then I did with my previous card, which was the GTX 560 Ti. This is with everything to maximum, except for AA which again is off.
Can someone please help me?
Specs:
AMD 8350FX
Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X
2x4GB Corsair Vengeance
Corsair GS700W
1680x1050 monitor
FYI: Got a new case with the GPU as well, which means I just moved everything and re-installed it in a new tower. Also, when running the latest drivers (14.1 beta) the graphics drivers would crash constantly, I couldn't run any games for more then a couple of minutes, likewise the PC just seemed slower then usual. Using the newest none beta version (13.something) I don't get any crashes.
