Hello,
I'm going to build a gaming pc for the first time soon, and I have a few questions. Here is a link to the parts I have chosen http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2O4ce

Question 1: Is everything compatible? I'm not sure how to tell, so I'm leaving this up to you guys. It seems like they are, but I have no clue.

Question 2: Should I go with the Intel i5-3570k or the intel i5-3570? If I do overclock my cpu, it will be very limited. But overall, is there any difference between the two other than one overclocking better than the other?

Question 3: Does the quality of the optical drive matter? I just picked the cheapest one to stay in my budget of $1000-$1100.

Question 4: Are there any part substitutions that you would suggest? Keep in mind that I don't want to go over my budget.

No the quality of the optical drive doesnt mater. The only reason why you use it mostly is to download os. Yes everything is compatible except case. With the 3570 without the k, you wont be able to overclock. Here is a better build

You dont need 16gb for gaming. I have a better quality graphics card, my build has an ssd, the 4gb version is pointless for gaming unless you are doing like crysis 3. Plus the 770 is better then the gtx 760 http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-770-vs-GeForce-GTX-... better case with better cooling and easily compatable with the motherboard. with your case, you have to do backward compatability. better psu because its modular

Okay, I have updated the build. I have switched the motherboard, memory, video card, and case. Here is the link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2PO9V

Why is having a modular psu better? Also, I stuck with my hard drive because I will be getting an ssd later, but for now I will just stick with the Seagate.

Modular makes sure cable management better. When you dont have a modular psu, all the wires are permanently stuck into the psu. With fully modular, all wires are seperate and you plug in only what you need. With semi-modular, a couple or something wires are permanently in the psu and some of the wires are removed and you only use what you need. Get this psu instead http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1850bbef...

Yeah thats a really nice psu, the reason for the xfx one was because the 750w and the 850w were pretty much the same price
