So I installed a corsair H55 to my AMD FX 8350 and ASUS M5A97 motherboard. It powered down after about 15 minutes so I thought I installed it wrong. I took it to my local computer shop and they re installed it for me. I brought it home and still had the same problem. I re installed the thermal paste and it worked perfect all night. Booted it up this morning and it shut down after 15 minutes. Im thinking something in my computer is not plugged in right because all of my core temperatures are between 20 degrees Celsius and 45 degrees so its not overheating. The odd thing is it has never shut down when the the turbo button for my fans is on. Please let me know what you guys are thinking. Thanks!

It just abruptly shuts down on me. Hasn't shut down while playing a game yet. Only when surfing the web.

If it's just shutting down like that it could be any number of things. Make sure your RAM is aligned right, sometimes it can get knocked around in travel and come loose which can shut your computer down or even render it useless if it's REALLY not in the slot. Also check that all cables and fastens are securely tightened and secure, for good measure you should also make sure your wires are all clear and organized to allow better airflow, and minimize any risks associated with clutter.

Another thing it could be, but is unlikely is that the mobo is defective. Like I said though, this is unlikely because mobo's are the sturdiest thing on a computer besides the case, but it's best not to rule anything out.
