APU vs CPU

A10-7850K's performance amazed me.
My friend asked me to build a PC for him.
Say, we've buy one R7 260X, you think we should pair it up with a FX 8320 or A10-7850K? I know Mantle from AMD is finally out for Battlefield 4 and it actually solved the bottleneck problem, will dual graphics outperform CPU+discrete?

It will not. The discrete graphics card will (in most cases) disable, or replace the graphics processor in the CPU. No need for it to do any work in that case.

A discrete graphics card will out perform integrated graphics. So if you choose to use one skip the APU.
