I just built my computer last night. When we finished building it, we turned it on and the CPU and GPU fans started spinning. The problem is though, we couldn't get a display for the monitor. The cords we used to hook up the built PC to the monitor work perfectly, as I tested it out using my laptop prior to that. We tried every visual output, using both motherboard and graphics card and nothing.
Today, I had an idea. I just found the system speaker that came with my case and I plugged it into the proper slots. Two very very faint lights glowed on the speaker to indicate that it was on. I then unplugged both sticks of RAM and turned the computer on, hoping to hear a beep. I heard nothing. So I am getting no display and no beeping, I honestly think I have a faulty motherboard.
Here is a link to the motherboard: http://us.msi.com/product/mb/760GM-P21--FX-.html
Anyway. If it is indeed a bad motherboard, let me know. This is my first build so I am sorry if it is obvious that I am missing something.
