Okay, so, I need help with this laptop. Its partitioned with Ubuntu and Win7, but not by me. A family member did it, but something happened when they gave it to me(they were in the process of formatting it and her son swiped the keyboard and it did something), but when it boots up, it boots to a grub rescue menu, and after typing all this in:

grub rescue> set boot=(hd0,msdos5)
grub rescue> set prefix=(hd0,msdos5)/boot/grub
grub rescue> insmod normal
grub rescue> normal

I get to go to a purple partition page, and everything is like normal, I can choose Ubuntu or Win7. I just want to get rid of the grub rescue on boot. I dont have the LiveCD or USB drive they used and I dont know anything about programing, so I cant be of much help, but if I can get rid of it without the LiveCD I will be extrememly grateful...
