Best Video Card For My Motherboard

Solution

With that CPU, the 9800GT is just fine, but you may want to look around in the range you are paying for it. I picked up a 9800GT years ago for about $40, it ran great till it died after maybe 2 years after I got it. Plenty of life for the product and was a good investment for $40 that's for sure.
The motherboard is pretty good, because it has PCI-E x16 slot so you can add a new card, but the bad think is the processor is old so there will be bottleneck. I am not sure about this but i think you can go with the 650ti, but i am not sure because the old thinks are not my speciallity. If you do not need that much you can go with the 7790 or 7770.

What is your CPU and budget and what is the upgraded video card for? Why are you looking at a 9800GT instead of a newer card?

2 gig of RAM is a bit low these days, especially for gaming. You may want to go to 4 gig.

I want to use the new video card for somewhat casual gaming, not looking for extreme performances with this build, my processor is an e2180 2ghz, I'm looking at the 9800gt because it's dirtcheap, also because it will run with most of the games i'm forward into playing.
