My current windows 8.1 is not working i might have had reformatted some disk partitions by accident. Now when im trying to install windows 7 it says on my both disks and all the partitions either "windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style" and some partitions it says "windows cannot... the partition is a microsoft reserved (MSR) partition." Also. I dont care abou losing my data since there isnt anything important. The other drive is an samsung evo 840 250gb and the orher wd black 1tb. How do i clean these disks so that i can install windows 7 on them?

Solution
Use the option in the Win7 installation pgm to delete the current partitions and then make a new one. Win8 may have changed it to UEFI instead of BIOS.

Dont i have to save any of them? Could it harm my drives?

No. All you are doing is deleting the 'map' in the drive's directory that tells it how many virtual drives it has. You can then simply use the 'new' link to make a new single partition as big as the entire drive. (However, Win7 may set aside an additional small partition of its own for housekeeping)

Yeah, I tried it on a PC and on a Surface Pro tablet. Hated it. Don't like my desktop to look and work like my phone. And it is totally unintuitive in its design. If it wasn't for it being forced on every new PC buyer, it wouldn't be selling at all.
