Hello everyone and thank you in advance for your replies, I have a few questions about a graphics card upgrade I am making at the end of May, beginning of June. I want a powerful graphics card that can max out all of the call of duty games for a few years, and play other first person shooters such as battlefield. Also, I record videos and use photo editors like Photoshop too. I am wondering what graphics card I should buy (my budget is $350-$400). I am looking at the GeForce GTX 770 or 760, or the AMD R9 290, 280x or the Radeon 7970. I would probably rather have an NVIDIA card but I don't know how compatible my system will be with NVIDIA cards, keep in mind that I am upgrading from a AMD R7 260X. My only concern with AMD is that their cards are very overpriced right now. Will the price be down by June? Here is my system specifications (the ones that matter for this context) :

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 6300

Once again, thanks for the help and support.

760 won't be much of an upgrade. You can either go to the 770 or expand your budget for the 780. All AMD cards are a terrible purchase right now unless you plan to mine for the failing litecoin.

What is the performance margin between the 770 and 780? Would it be worth paying the extra money for a 780 over a 770 classified?
